Are Male Hoop Earrings Appropriate?
In a conservative point of view, men are not supposed to wear earrings. These are deemed inappropriate as earrings are considered more of a woman’s fashion accessory. But nowadays, more and more men are displaying hoop earrings. Some are even more blinged out than what women usually wear.
When we look at it historically, men had been wearing different kinds of earrings. This might be a sort of accessory to ward off evil, to symbolize manhood and many more. But in today’s modern world, hoop earrings are more of a statement: fashion and financial wise. Men who wear diamond hoop earrings signify that they are successful and can definitely afford it. Though there are still various workplaces that don’t allow men to wear earrings, some offices do tolerate them.
